Whispers Of The Soul is a 3d video reflecting the contemplation of the oppression of females in ancient China. It was inspired by stories and social rules of ancient China, especially in the Ming and Qing dynasties. There is a new way of looking at these stories, especially the story of The Peony Pavilion, by creating the role of a woman who longed for more than the limited role society had assigned her. This work depicts the struggles, dreams, and silent defiance of women who lived in a patriarchal society where they were treated as mere objects; it is a reflection of the awakening of female youth consciousness. It invites the viewer to reflect on the past and to contemplate the present, where women continue to fight for their rights and equality.

A Publication that talks about the Qing and Ming dynasties' patriarchal system in ancient China. Also includes a conversation between Yuan Xin and Meihan Hu, they talked about women’s rights and lives from different perspectives and times.
